Is your Furnace SAFE?

As the temperatures in and around GTA is going close to around -30 degrees, there is a lot of stress that your furnace has to handle. This can cause a build-up of various deposits in the system. This not only reduces the performance of the system but also makes the system itself a potential threat. Although the furnace should be ideally cleaned every year, here are a few signs that lets you know that furnace cleaning is due and it should be done immediately.   In the event that your Furnace is making noises that it didn’t beforehand, it might require cleaning. Noises, for example, shrieking or slamming can show that an issue exists. This noise is normally caused by stores on the fuel lines confining stream to the burners.   Carbon monoxide is a boring, unscented gas that is savage. Broken parts in the heater can make this gas spill, causing cerebral pains, discombobulation, sickness, and perhaps demise.   With a flawed furnace, parts dust can develop in your home significantly speedier. Having the heater cleaned, air filters changed, or your humidifier checked by an expert is a basic method to avert dry noses and skin amid winter months.   A more seasoned, clogged furnace that is past due for cleaning can be a noteworthy fire danger. With gases discharged and copied inside the heater throughout the day, it is important to protect lines clean for fuel delivery to all the burners.   To schedule an appointment or for more information, contact Unique Providers today at 1-866-456-8940 or visit our website:...

How do you know that your ducts need cleaning?

The new year is approaching and you are still wondering whether you should get your ducts cleaned or not. Even though its tough to see inside of the ducts and see the things hiding in there, for example, moulds, pet hair, fungus or construction debris. But, there are other ways to judge and save your self from inhaling all this dirty air. 1. Remove the vent cover on a few supply vents, do you see dirt in there, if yes then you definitely have your ducts cleaned.   2. Look at the return vent covers, if there is a buildup of dirt, particularly thick, fuzzy coatings of dust, this is an indicator that a Duct Cleaning is required.   3. Pull the filter. Judging from the condition of the filter, this could be a telltale sign a Duct Cleaning is required. If you find it’s clogged with dust, your airflow is likely being blocked off, which causes dust to build up in the return ductwork.   4. If you recently have any major renovation done in your house during the holiday season.   If you feel that there is a need for the cleaning and you want it done as soon as possible, contact Unique Providers today at 1-866-456-8940 or visit our website: www.uniqueproviders.com...

Are you also a Victim of Scam Duct Cleaning?

We would like to share our recent experience with our customers. Last week we participated in National Home Show at Enercare Centre in Toronto. We setup up our booth with duct cleaning display and were very excited to get the response from the public. It was a mixed experience. People used to stop by our booth to see the duct cleaning display and learn about the process of the cleaning. Most of the time they were excited to know about the actual process and outcome and book the appointment for their home but many of them have different experience and were conscious about the scam duct cleaners.         Many people used to stop for a minute and ask, Are you same who keep calling us for duct cleaning? Their expressions conveyed their pain and this count increased by the passing day. For the 10 days in the show, almost 80% of the people who passed by was complaining about the calls they are getting for duct cleaning. This is an alarming situation for the duct cleaning industry. The company like us, who spend thousand of dollars in the license, certification, training and marketing are being targeted for what they are not doing. Our reputation and business is at risk. Some telemarketers are even using our company name. This is an annoying situation for not only the customers but also for the established companies who are doing business for a long time. Time to time there are many articles and news about the scam duct cleaners but nobody is able to stop this. At this point we...

Check if your Furnace Filter is Black

One and only purpose of a furnace filter is to protect the furnace from damage caused by dust, lint, or foreign objects that find a way into the air stream. Without filtering, these particles may cause damage to the furnace or, at a minimum, reduce the overall furnace efficiency; which will cost you more in energy.  A lot of air carrying dust particles moves through your furnace. As dust and deposits accumulate, your furnace has to work harder and harder to draw air through the filter. A black furnace filter is a red flag that something could be seriously wrong with your heating system. While it may be that you haven’t changed the filter in a really long time, it could be a sign of more serious problems including: •    Inadequate combustion air •    Carbon Monoxide •    Mould Inadequate air supply or carbon monoxide can both cause soot to form on the filter.  And, mould in your home can be a serious health hazard. Change your Furnace filter every three month to protect your equipment from unnecessary breakdown. Call Unique Duct Cleaning for more information 905-456-8940 Source:...
