- Change filters regularly:
Each filter has a life cycle/rating. Be sure to follow it.
- Use the right filter:
Use the highest efficiency air filter recommended by the manufacturer of your HVAC system.
- Install it right:
Ensure that you install all the filters and that there are no gaps in the filter holder. If you have any questions ask your duct cleaning
- Seal it off:
When doing renovation is sure to close all your vents. This will reduce the need to have duct cleaning after every time you want to renovate your home.
- Regular maintenance:
Be sure to dust and vacuum regularly. If you have pets, be sure to vacuum even more frequently.
- Regular duct cleaning:
Duct cleaning should be done every 3 years. Every time your duct cleaning specialist comes to your home be sure to ask for more maintenance tips.
- Employ a humidifier:
Use a humidifier to avoid moisture. Moisture can turn into mould which should be avoided. Moisture also increases the contamination of mould onto the other vents. By using a good humidifier you reduce the risk of contamination.
