STEP BY STEP
How We Clean Your Building’s Ducts
For scheduling, documentation and common questions, see our commercial duct cleaning page.

STEP 1
Arrival and Site Inspection
A crew of two to four certified technicians arrives as scheduled and inspects the work area before anything is set up.

STEP 2
Equipment Set Up
The crew sets up commercial-grade duct cleaning equipment for the job.

STEP 3
Floors and Workstations Protected
Drop sheets are laid where needed and work terminals are covered to protect the building’s floors and equipment.

STEP 4
Work Area Kept Clear
Building staff are asked to stay out of the direct work area while cleaning is under way, for their safety and so the work runs without interruption.

STEP 5
Starting in the Mechanical Room
Work begins in the mechanical room, or in the area agreed with you in advance.

STEP 6
Before: Your Ductwork

STEP 7
Access Points Cut
The technicians locate and cut access points on the supply and return lines.

STEP 8
Vacuum Connected
A commercial-grade vacuum is connected to the supply and return lines.

STEP 9
Diffusers and Grilles Cleaned
Air at 300 PSI is used to clean every diffuser and return grille, which are then wiped and disinfected.

STEP 10
Main Lines: Brush and Ball
A semi-robotic brush and a bouncing ball clean the inner walls of the main duct lines, repeated two to five times as needed to loosen buildup and move it toward the vacuum.

STEP 11
Main Lines: Snake Jet
The main lines are cleaned with a retractable snake jet system at 300 PSI. It reaches corners and hard-to-reach sections and works like an air rake, driving loose dirt toward the vacuum.

STEP 12
Access Points Sealed
Every one-inch access point is closed with a black plug, and eight-inch access holes are covered with a stainless sheet metal plate sealed with aluminum tape.

STEP 13
After: Your Ductwork

STEP 14
Clean Up and Review
The work area is cleaned and the equipment packed away. The lead technician then reviews the completed work with your staff.

STEP 15
Report
You receive a report on the completed work, addressed to the main business occupant.
