Air Duct Cleaning

NADCA-certified air duct cleaning for homes, commercial buildings and industrial facilities across the Greater Toronto Area. We remove built-up dust and debris from the whole system using source removal, the method set out in NADCA’s standard. Serving the GTA since 1997.

When Duct Cleaning Is Worth Doing

Heating, cooling and ventilation ductwork collects whatever the system pulls in – dust, pet hair, construction debris, process fines – and recirculates it every time the fan runs. That does not mean every system needs cleaning on a fixed schedule. Health Canada’s guidance points to visible mould growth, evidence of rodents or insects, ducts clogged with excessive dust and debris, and recent renovation work as the times it is worth doing, and an inspection is the honest way to find out. When it is needed, the right method matters: source removal puts the system under negative pressure and mechanically loosens buildup so it is captured, rather than stirred up and left in the building.

Signs It Is Due

  • Dust blowing from registers or diffusers
  • Dust returning quickly after cleaning
  • A recent renovation, fit-out or construction work
  • Signs of rodents or insects in the ductwork
  • Visible mould on duct surfaces or components
  • Musty odours or occupant complaints about the air

Residential, Commercial and Industrial

The same NADCA method, planned around very different buildings.

Residential

Houses, condominium suites and townhomes. The full supply and return system, often booked with furnace and dryer vent cleaning in the same visit, with before-and-after photographs.

Commercial

Offices, retail, restaurants and multi-tenant buildings. Scheduled around occupants, including outside business hours, with written reports, certificates of insurance and WSIB clearance.

Industrial

Plants, warehouses and process facilities. Larger systems and heavier buildup, scoped on site and planned around shutdowns and production.

How We Clean Ducts

Source removal to NADCA’s standard, whether it is a house or a factory.

  • Inspection of the system before any work starts
  • Negative pressure so loosened debris is drawn out, not into the building
  • Agitation of supply and return ductwork to free buildup
  • Registers, grilles and diffusers cleaned
  • Main trunk lines and plenums, not just the branch runs
  • Access openings sealed and before-and-after photographs taken

Common Questions

Is duct cleaning necessary?

Not always. Health Canada’s guidance suggests it where there is visible mould, signs of pests, ducts clogged with dust and debris, or after renovation work. If none of those apply and the system was cleaned in the last few years, it may not be needed yet. An inspection will tell you either way.

What affects the cost of duct cleaning?

The size of the building, the number of supply and return vents, how much buildup there is and how easy the system is to reach. For homes, the property type and vent count are usually enough for a straight number over the phone. Commercial and industrial work is priced after a site assessment.

How often should ducts be cleaned?

Every three to five years suits most homes, sooner after a renovation or with pets. Commercial and industrial systems depend on how they are used and what they handle, so an inspection sets the interval.
