Dryer Vent Cleaning
Lint builds up in every dryer vent over time. Left alone it lengthens drying cycles, drives up energy use and becomes a genuine fire risk. We clean the full run of ducting – not just the lint trap – for homes and buildings across the Greater Toronto Area.
Why Dryer Vents Need Cleaning
Fire services across Canada warn that lint buildup is a leading cause of clothes dryer fires. Lint is highly combustible, and it collects along the entire duct run – well past the lint screen you empty between loads. As the duct narrows, the dryer runs hotter and longer to shift the same load, which wastes electricity or gas and shortens the life of the appliance. In longer or poorly routed vent runs, common in townhouses, condominiums and older homes with the laundry away from an exterior wall, buildup happens faster.

Common Questions
How often should a dryer vent be cleaned?
Once a year suits most households. Clean more often if you dry several loads a day, have a long vent run, or share ducting in a multi-unit building – and sooner than that if drying times have already started climbing.
How long does it take?
A typical residential dryer vent takes well under an hour. Longer runs, rooftop terminations and commercial laundry equipment take longer, and we will tell you what to expect before starting rather than after.
Is this the same as duct cleaning?
No. Duct cleaning covers the heating and cooling ductwork that circulates air through the building. A dryer vent is a separate, dedicated exhaust duct. They are priced and scheduled separately, though many customers book both in one visit.
Do you clean dryer vents in condominiums and apartments?
Yes. Shared and stacked vent runs are common in multi-unit buildings and often need coordination with property management or the building superintendent – we handle that as part of scheduling.
