Dust Collector Cleaning

Cleaning of dust collection systems and their ductwork for manufacturing, woodworking and processing facilities across the Greater Toronto Area.

Why Dust Collection Systems Need Cleaning

A dust collector only works if air reaches it. Over time, material settles in the collection ductwork – especially at bends, long horizontal runs and branch connections – and the airflow at each pickup drops. Pickups that no longer capture let dust escape into the workspace, and settled material inside the ducts becomes a hazard of its own when it is combustible. Keeping collection ductwork clear is one part of a wider approach that usually also includes combustible dust cleaning of the facility and industrial duct cleaning of the building systems.

Signs It Is Due

  • Weak suction at machine pickups
  • Dust escaping at machines that used to capture well
  • Material building up at bends or horizontal runs
  • Collector pressure readings outside their normal range
  • A process change that increased dust volume
  • No record of the ductwork being cleaned

Common Questions

Do you replace collector filters or bags?

Filter and bag replacement is specific to each collector and is usually handled by the equipment supplier or your maintenance team. Our work is the ductwork and accessible housings, and we will report the condition of what we see.

Is the collected dust combustible?

Often, yes – wood, flour, sugar, plastics and many metal dusts are. That affects how the work is done, and it is one reason cleaning should be planned around the material rather than treated as general housekeeping.

Can this be done during a shutdown?

Yes, and that is usually the best time. We plan the scope so it fits inside your production window.

Are you certified?

Yes – we are members of NADCA, the National Air Duct Cleaners Association, and have been operating across the GTA since 1997. You are welcome to verify our membership directly with NADCA rather than take our word for it.
